Design Technology
At Childer Thornton we believe that Design and Technology forms an important part of our curriculum as it gives the children insight into problems faced by individuals in the real world and the impact of different products on people’s lives.
It then provides children with the opportunity to creatively and practically learn and develop the skills and knowledge needed to solve these real and relevant problems.
Our children are able to explore the areas of Construction, Mechanisms, Electrical systems, Program monitor and control and Textile design, where they are encouraged to select appropriate tools safely and effectively to design, make and then evaluate their products.
